Those are some big donuts. 3lbs each.
Waiting in line is no fun.
After our donuts, coffee and orange juice we hit the road. It's about a 2 hour drive from our house to The Game Farm. There was some beautiful countryside on the way.Mostly forest.
Crossing The Hood Canal Bridge
We finally arrived loaded with our 7 loaves of bread and ready to feed the animals.Ariel's doesn't remember being here before. The last time we were I think she was like 3.
First we encountered the Sika Deer.
Ariel loved petting and feeding them.
She also liked feeding the ducks.
The observation tower allowed you to see all of The Game Farm.
The first drive through animals we encountered were the yaks.
This mama yak decided the middle of the road was as good a place as any to feed her baby.
Come on you know you want to give me some bread.
There were also Llamas, but thankfully they didn't spit on us.
They were so fun to watch playing in the water and lounging in the sun.Besides these troughs they had several watering holes. When they got a piece of bread they would dip it in the water and get it all soggy. They seem to like to eat it that way best.
Ariel enjoyed feeding The Roosevelt Elk.They were a bit on the aggressive side so you had to keep moving.
Then we encountered The American Bison. They would pretty much surround your car and were pretty demanding. We gave them as much bread as they wanted.
In the end we drove through twice and went through 14 loaves of bread.Ariel loved it so much.I knew she would. We then went home for cake and ice cream and presents.
Squirrels all the way from Japan from Ariel's brother Daniel.
Her brother Nicholas gave her a giant Lego set that her brother Michael is currently building for her.
Make A Wish!
It was a wonderful day and I was so glad our princess had such a fun time. She so deserves it.She was hurting pretty bad that evening from all the travel, but she thought it was well worth it.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY,ARIEL!
