A boatload of updates

Wow, It's been so long since I've been here I'll just jump right in to let you all know what's been going on in our neck of the woods. February was crazy we celebrated Nick's birthday on the third. It was nice for him since he never celebrated the whole four years he was in the army. We had fun with movies, pizza, cake and ice cream.

Ariel also got her last nerve block. The medical community has refused to do anything more to help her. It's pretty upsetting.

Valentine's Day was crazy. We had a massive snow storm the day before. So we couldn't go out anywhere to get our heart shaped pizza, so I made donuts instead and we played in the snow.

Nothing better on a snow day then cocoa with whipped cream or marshmallows and piping hot donuts.
Nick is so artistic. We loved his Yeti.

Ariel also had a tooth extraction this month. It unfortunately gave her a total flare of her CRPS and took her quite a while to heal from.
In March Daniel started playing hockey again. It was so wonderful after a year of not playing.I also took each of the kids out for breakfast or lunch to have some one on one time.Daniel chose this huge breakfast after hockey practice and ate every single bite.
I love the new uniforms.

I took down the Valentine's Day decorations and put up St.Patty's Day ones.I love changing my decor  for holidays and seasons.

This month we also celebrated my birthday with some of my favorite food from The Old Spaghetti Factory and many outings with friends.and my family rented the movie theater for me.It was so nice to be able to go out and celebrate again.I also was able to go to Ladies Spark with friends in Olympia. The theme was Western so much fun, plus Bible study lessons for some spiritual food.
I also continued to watch Daniel play hockey.I so missed watching him play and was able to skate some myself.

With hockey also usually comes injury.Thankfully it was just a sprain.

Ice cream at a 50's diner always makes you feel better after injury.
One outing I had this month was going out with my cousin. She took me to the Old Cannery Warehouse.I love retro, vintage and old fashioned things. This was so much fun, plus they have model trains running around the store and a fudge shop.My kind of place.
The kids and I also got a thrill when our movie theater opened again.

April seemed to come in quickly.Easter was very early this year.I decided I wanted to get the guys new suits for Easter. We found some great deals and they fit them perfectly. Also before Easter I decided to give Michael some one on one and drug him to Tacoma where they have an awesome gluten free bakery.I knew it must be good because the line was out the door.It was amazing.I think I will have them do his birthday cake this year.

The guys look so sharp in their new suits.

Easter baskets for everyone.
Ariel colored eggs and did an egg hunt.

We were getting tired of the usual ham dinner it's something we have fairly often so I decided our new go to is prime rib for Easter.I used to do it New Years Day,but with all the work of Christmas I decided take out is our new go to for that.I'm beat from all the cooking at that point.Daniel cooked it this year and did a fantastic job.We had prime rib, twice baked potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls and sparkling cider.

This month I got the spring cleaning itch and started de-cluttering like crazy. Our house is not that large 1500 sq ft with 6 adult people living here it gets a bit crowded. What I've learned is more space doesn't necessarily mean more room.I learned this from having a small refrigerator and getting a large one.Well it gets just as crowded because more room you tend to buy more stuff. So  I've been on a mission to get rid of clutter. That gives you more space.I went room to room and even rented a dumpster and got rid of a bunch of junk in my yard.I even bought some new furniture pieces.

Hubby is working on getting the kitchen painted for my Mother's Day present.

Amazing how much we got rid of. We filled it up twice.

Mother's Day was amazing I got a nice meal and lots of gifts and flowers.

We also celebrated Ariel's birthday first we went to the movies. We rented the whole theater and she got to pick her own movie. She picked Selena.

On her actual birthday she had a mermaid party.I was so glad she was able to have it,because the day before she had,had two Grand Mal seizures and several smaller ones, but she felt better the following day and had a great day.We had friends over and a giant unicorn sprinkler. We played a bunch of yard games and did face painting. We watched Princess And The Frog and made froggy cupcakes. We had a meal and did cake and ice cream and then later did a fire pit and made S'mores. The only down side was KFC losing my order. We ended up getting everyone hamburgers instead, but we weren't going to let that ruin the day.She had an amazing birthday and had so much fun.I was so happy. She deserved that after such a rough go of things recently.

We had fun hitting the pinata.
Face painting fun.
Ariel had a dental appointment and were so thrilled to learn she didn't need any work done. Her meds are so hard on her teeth she usually always needs fillings. Not this time, yeah!!!

Memorial Day we spent with friends having a picnic, playing yard games and swimming.
This burrito game was too much fun.

We've also had a few Epileptologist appointments in Seattle.Ariel had her VNS adjusted.Daniel it was mostly talking and seeing if there was anything else to use for him. There isn't.We always use these appointments to go have breakfast after or visit Bass Pro.

We've also had lots of pool fun and outings.

                             We love our pool.

Hubby got spoiled for Father's Day with gifts, all of his favs for breakfast and movies.

Daniel played his last game in June for the season. He was so thrilled to play again after a year off.We had cookies made for the team. They came in a very respectable third place and most important Daniel really likes all of his teammates and had a lot of fun being a Bulldog.

We also had a visit from grandparents. They live half the year in Arizona ,so we don't get to see them that often,so it was nice.
The end of June Daniel did his usual work for The Key Peninsula Veterans at the fireworks stand. He always does such a great job at that.
We had a great Independence Day with fireworks and barbecue and starting with going to see Jaws at the theater. It seems we only see old movies anymore.I'm personally so tired of having woke agendas shoved down my throat in a lot of the new ones.We played games and then did a fire pit and had S'mores.Daniel did our fireworks show that lasted about an hour and a half it was great.

Daisy and Peanut looking patriotic.

Ariel had started using these patches that activate your stem cells they've been really quite amazing. She's done more in the last month than she has in the last six. I decided to take her on a girls beach trip.We had so much fun planning it all.We decided where we'd stay what sites we'd see and what we'd do.I even had her nails done before hand.

Ariel got cute fishy nails with a sparkling purple octopus.

Sharky's is such a fun place.

We went to the arcade and played games and had pizza and went bowling.
We finally were able to check into our condo at 2:00pm.It was cute, but wasn't quite what the pictures showed. The pool in the pics looked enormous, but it was clean and quiet and we were able to go into the hot tub all by ourselves.
We did so many things bowling, playing games, going hot tubbing and swimming,Ariel was beat and slept in.The next morning we got donuts and juice and coffee and went to the beach.
We finally made it to the beach.Ariel loved looking for crabs and jellies and watching the dogs and seagulls.

We went to a few more shops and got some Salt Water Taffy to bring home to the guys.It was a great trip and I'm planning on taking the guys down to have fun on the beach.Anyway that's it for updates.Hopefully I won't be so long away again.
